Here she is!
Old girl is carrying the load while I read instructions but I got this beauty. First cup will have to wait as I’m meeting a friend for lunch but isn’t she a beaut?
Very nice. I love the antiquity of it and the colour ![]()
That’s next level!!! Very nice ![]()
Absolute beautiful…love the color too ![]()
Looking forward to your first cup ![]()
What a BEAUTY!!! I hope that first cup was everything you were expecting. Have you named her?
Luuuucy!!! Love it ![]()
What’s the thing on the left. A grinder?
I’m pretty sure that is the heating element for the water.
Honest day one review: this thing is smarter than I am. First pot I got some spillage probably due to the wonky set up I was trying. Something looks off kilter in that first photo.
Honestly I don’t love having to bring water to the machine as opposed to bringing the reservoir to water but that moves feels European and like I will grow to love it. Non-detachable water reservoir also means I will keep the top left covered with a towel when not in use to avoid my ever present stray cat hairs finding a home in the water reservoir.
First sip…
Delicious!! Darker than I usually make but I can titrate that. Different than my easy $20 job and deeper. Day one notes, it might slow down my coffee ritual in the morning but it is worth the sips. Now to work on that leak. Should I actually read the full manual or check out some stuff online, those of you who are super researchers heads’ just exploded, right? Cheers coffee lovers! ![]()

Made me laugh…best of luck with it.
Love Lucy and your rich dark coffee ![]()
lovely way to bring in the weekend
Just like sobriety this will take work to get my rhythm down. It is a beautiful contraption that I have to get smart enough to run. ![]()
Are you feeling any better Jazz?
Ooooh … Love that!!! She does look like a Lucy ![]()
Then I can say without any irony that I 🩷 Lucy. ![]()

I absolutely had I love Lucy in mind when I read your post.
I’m sure it’ll be a fun time getting the rhythm down
in doing well enough… mentally much much better and that helps deal with the rest. Thank you for asking ![]()

Day 2 review. I fixed the spillage, I think I just didn’t have something clicked into place correctly.
With my old maker I drank 2 (admittedly tiny) pots per day. The goal with Lucy is to drink less, but better tasting coffee. Maybe then I’ll explore this substance people call water and are so fond of.
Yesterday I drank my coffee and packed the rest of the pot to go. Halfway through my shift I took a big swig only to get a mouthful of grounds. I think that was a ratio problem.
Yes, I could just click on one, or seventy-five videos about how to best use my new maker but wheres the science in that? Morning all, cheers!
I’m a trial and error type person also ![]()
Its more fun this way. This time next week I plan to be drinking the perfect cup. Today’s cup is better than yesterdays. We’ll just have to see if I’ve avoided grounds this time.
