Im also part of a team who are organising a charity walk to raise money for the recovery service , doing a 102 mile walk in August along cotswold way in uk , Monday I’ve got a photo shoot with the other two people to advertise on their website and Tuesday im going on the radio station GFM to promote the service and what we do .my paid job is going well too
Busy busy busy Michelle. And giving so much back. Good for you!
This update gave me a big smile - so pleased to hear.
Hugs to you, my friend. Know that you are thought of so often…
Wow , 225 days sober . In the first week of getting sober i never thought I would get this far .my life has done a complete 360 in that time ,but I only got there one day at a time . In the beginning I was a wreck , id quit my job and started engaging with the alcohol services and I had to be supervised with my boys, i was with my husband . Now I am working again with dementia patients three nights a week , I am a drug and alcohol recovery coach helping others and facilitate a recovery group of my own called survival skills . My marriage is over with alot of relief and I have my boys with me , so im a full time working mom. I’ve just started a new relationship with an amazing guy who is also a recovery coach and has two years sobriety . Im also organising a charity walk to raise money for the recovery services in the area walking 102 miles over 5 days .
Life is amazing , sobriety is worth it , I’m 8 months sober now. Remember you only get there one day at a time

I was thinking about you this morning so glad to see this!!! So proud of you Michelle - you are Ann inspiration.
Hi Geoff ,thanks for your support my friend . Do you still go to AA in Cheltenham ? Might have to drop in on one of the meetings and catch up with you
Think I need to start adding my faves like you on fb
Not as often as I should at the moment. But yes it would be nice to catch up.
I’m an addiction recovery coach as well, I love our profession! Some of the best people I’ve met have been recovery coaches, starting when I was in rehab
So some of you may have read my previous posts ,in there I wanted to get trained on carrying narcan , or in the UK we use naloxone . Well im now trained to carry and administer the drug .
Well Michelle. You just keep on going don’t you! That’s great work.
What’s the AA meeting like up by you. Is a big one?
Getting bigger every week I quite enjoy it . St Peters is my home group
I also forgot to mention , social care have down graded my boys from a child protection plan to a child in need plan , very minimal visits and meetings with them now . Who would have thought that at the beginning of my recovery I had to be supervised 24/7 for three months with my boys to now being a single working mum who has my children living with me and not their dad . Anything is achievable if you apply yourself
