What I’m seeing says if it’s not covered, it’s a tart, not a pie. Pies are enclosed in pastry shells. An open top “pie” is a tart. But it’s way out of my depth.
I do like me some steak and kidney pie, though. There are certain things the English do pretty well.
Brexit is really just the result of one very noisy middle class political disruptor. I have really mixed thoughts about the whole thing, certainly with regards to the wider issues it brings about but the fact of the matter is, my day to day life wont really be any different whether or not we are in or out of the EU.
I always thought a cheesecake is more like a torte.
Fruit or something on top, cracker crust on the bottom, layer of cream cheese.
A single layer torte if you will.
