Creed were the crappiest band in the world until Nickelback came along and Creed passed the baton over. Imagine Dragons almost took the baton but then Nickelback released another album and imagine dragons disappeared off the track.

I think boy band needs a solid definition. May I offer one:
A group of 4 or more vocalists, primarily male, who have been assembled by a 3rd party entity and a) do not play instruments b) spend a minimum of 60% of their time on stage doing a synchronized, choreographed dance
Bonus if at least one member goes on to a solo career.
