Back in the 70’s, a toy was sold in the US. Egg shaped “people”, called Weebles. The jingle is "Weebles wobble but they don’t fall down ". Now I know the origin of the name!

I picked up the one on the left from a charity shop for a fiver and paired it with the one my late husband brought back from his travels in Africa in the 90s. They look like lovers reunited!

Found a Japanese lacquer box yesterday at the local thriftshop 
I love it. It’s inlayed with mother of pearl and I use it for the matches now.
Bought it for 5 euro’s

I got this art nouveau majolica jardinièr from a charity shop this afternoon. It was priced at £20 but they had a bogof sale on so I got a coffee percolator for free too. I’m going to give it to a good friend for Christmas as she’s really into this sort of stuff. Very pleased

That is called a graduated cylinder in the lab world and it is used to measure liquids. Beautiful find!

I got this cosy coat from a vintage shop for £20 today. It wasn’t until I got home that I realised the pattern is cavemen hunting woolly mammoths! So cute!
