More wooden birds for my kitchen - this one from today is 4-in-1, pretty neat.

If you count them as 4 individuals, I now have 7 wooden birds perched around my kitchen.

Ca-CAWWWW!!

I love em.:revolving_hearts: My neighbor brought me a beautiful set from Guatemala many years ago and I believe another friend ended up taking it. Forgot about them till just now.

They look so lovely perched around your plants

Thanks. My favorite one, the one that started this, is my big toucan. He’s on another cabinet.

It’s fun looking out for them. There are plenty of bird figurines/wooden birds at the antique mall but it can’t just be any one for the sake of it. I know it when I see it. First one since around Christmas, I think. I hide lizards/lizard art all around the house too. Same deal.

I have a tendency to over-collect so I am proud of my restraint

Oh that super cool and I think I remember you mentioning that.
It’s your space and you are filling it with what you love and enjoy :two_hearts:.

I can understand what you mean by restraint. I was like that with some Bob marley pics/ paintings/ art etc and realized I may have gone a bit overboard .

I know I’ve posted about my baseball bobbleheads here before, many of which have been found in antique malls/thrift shops.

Had been thinking about this (non-thrift) cabinet for probably a year for them. Finally went for it. Thrilled that I did.

It also solves the dust problem. SO much fucking dust in Arizona, these guys were covered.

Prior…not optimal

Now w/ cabinet

I’ve been thrifting things for my move at the end of the month. I got divorced a few months ago and ditched everything and started over with both furniture and decor. It’s been a fun journey and a good form of coping through my recent sobriety.

So I wanted to start a thread sharing mine and other’s cool thrifted finds here! :black_heart:

Found a really big wooden bird for my collection. Yucca palm for scale.

Not sure about the spot yet, might move him. There are now 8 wooden birds perched in my kitchen.

Different kinda book, but it got me thinking about my favorite thrift find ever, or at least among the most useful. $5 usd! Has helped me identify and learn about so many animals that I see in my yard.

I could just do it on my phone but this is much more fun.

The antique mall in my neighborhood has a 1st edition signed copy of Stephen King’s “IT”…
