Good lawd, I love this, Tom. Don’t think I’ve ever heard about that fateful day. That’s a heck of a share with a good lesson.
Perhaps it’s selfish, but I’m grateful sobriety has brought you to us and looking forward to that big one year, one day at a time. Keep goin, brother.

Had almost the same experience with my first marathon. Went out too fast. Exhausted by 18. Slog to the finish.
