Traveling sober can actually be pretty enjoyable once you get past the first few trips. I like waking up the next day remembering everything and having the energy to actually explore instead of losing half the day to a hangover. It also makes planning a lot easier.

They do fried clams up there? Whenever I go back to New England I OD on the fried clams and steamers

24 Hours in Brussels. I went there for a live show in the Ancienne Belgique which is an iconic Belgian venue. The sound was a bit too loud for my liking. maybe it’s my age. Took the opportunity to walk around town, one I never was for more than a drive through on my way to somewhere else. I was mostly pleasantly surprised by what I saw and exprienced.
This is the venue, the AB, in the middle of town.

The Grote Markt with the obligatory Belgian beer fest.

Parliament. They love their neoclassical buildings over there.
