My next guess is Puerto Rico or Madagascar.
I do think it’s Madagascar. No Bully Prize though, I can’t find the lizard.
Mno you get the Bullseye Bully’s Special Prize
for getting the country correct

Prize is even better if you live hundreds of miles from water based activities ![]()
Burbank airport. No jet bridges. You board at the front and the back of the plane. Easier than LAX for sure.
Gratitude and respect being simultaneously practised in Belmandy Village, Nosy Be, Madagascar. Population around 60. No photos of people for obvious reasons
Dogs and cats absolutely mandatory though ![]()

above is the local school.
Alton Towers doesn’t feel like just a theme park, it’s an entire experience. I love the scenery and the gardens. One of my favourite places in the UK.
Rollercoasters are fun too!
@Madds @Ofmiceandroach there is no way I’d have guessed the locations of both of your posts! Barcelona looking all misty and Alton Towers looking like a National Trust property ![]()
I completed my first ever travel experience completely sober. Had a few wobbles but I learnt about my triggers and how to deal with them. Having dinner without wine or pre cocktails and replacing with sparkling water - I could then enjoying waking up without a fuzzy head, tiredness, and lack of motivation. And also without that PUFFY face.
I feel more solid in my sobriety now.
One thing I’ve had to continue to accept is that life is more calm and orderly which can present itself as lacking in “fun”, or fun as it used to be: fast and chaotic and - embarrassingly - entertaining for others. Perhaps me drinking and then being around more introverted people allows them to become more sociable - but to the detriment of my mental health. That’s on them now. I can’t be the ‘entertainment’ anymore. Bed early and waking up fresh is more enjoyable. I also appreciate remembering everything now too.
Also, something else I noticed is how liberating it is to not be thinking about where I can get a drink, sneak a drink, manipulate a drink. Not having to think about that is really freeing. Not sure I’ve explained that properly but it makes sense to me ![]()
I remember in my later days of drinking finding myself in a bar and thinking about what I wanted to drink. Sometimes it was hard to decide because I was bored with all of it. I never chose a non-alcoholic drink though and put myself right back in that drink and hangover loop every time.
Sobriety is breaking free from the script. What you’ve done all those previous times that put you right back into a hangover is not your default any more. You are free to choose sobriety. No more sneaking around and no more being at the whims of addiction. Embrace that freedom and choose not to drink.
Alton Towers has been around since 1980, but the estate’s history is over 200 years old. It’s still got the original gothic-style Towers and landscaped gardens and spans over 500 acres. It’s one of me and my partner’s favourite place in the UK bc the landscape is just so beautiful. Even in the pouring rain, it’s incredible.
It is a spectacular park. I went to my first gig there James
in 1992 supported by John Lydon ![]()
