Welcome to our incredible community!

I’m so glad you came here. You are worthy of honoring your body.

There are many ways you can ground yourself. Search Google for mindfulness activities such as the 5 senses: 5 things you can see, 4 things you can hear, 3 things you can touch, etc. Another great way to distract yourself is by a word association game.

Think of a theme, for example “animals”.

Think of an animal the starts with the last letter of each one you think of:

Elephant

Tiger

Rabbit

Tortoise

Etc.

I hope this is a good start.

Keep us posted on how you are feeling and doing.

If you are talking about self-harm, there are many here who suffer with it. When my son was intensely in that situation, we found a lot of help with apps and websites. Every person who struggles with it tends to need a different approach. He tried a lot of recommendations and a few hit the intensity appropriately.

Welcome to the group. I encourage you to use the search tool to seek those who are familiar with what you are referring to. There are thousands of people here with commonalities and differences.
