Near ashbourne
Realistically we may be looking at next year, Iāve already got a trek booked with a company in July and I have no idea if that is even going ahead
Hey people, any updates on this?
No nothing mate, can maybe look at it next year now
Is that Helvellyn on your picture?
Iāve just got back from the Lakes and done Scafell, Great Gable and The Old Man of Coniston
ah okay cheers for the update man. Well if anyone wants to meet up and do a smaller group hike before I would be keen, it keeps me sane haha.
Nice man I love the Lake District! what one did you enjoy the most? I havenāt done The Old Man of Coniston. This photo was taken on the way up to Snowdon peak. Hiked that, Crib y Ddygsl and Glydr Fawr. Was good fun
How awesome to see this! Used to go camping and hiking in Peak District regularly as a child! Wonderful place and memories!!
Ah and Lake District, Snowdonā¦ God I remember and love them all to pieces! I would be right in with you if I still lived in the UK my friendā¦ I find myself in Australia now though so bit hard haha. The chances of a group like this though brings a smile to my face!
Iād be up for getting a date in the diary
Next year would suit me better, am hoping my iron levels pick up in the next few months and I can start doing some proper walking again.
Although if any meetups happen in the meantime with a nice lunch in the mix I might join for that bit
nice man! Australiaās not too bad ey
Starting off the convo again. How is everyone?
Would be great to reorganise and get this group of us together for a hike. Whoās in?
Where are you from mate, there is a group on WhatsApp called āRecovery Trekkersā who do a walk every Sunday if youāre interested? (Wales, Lakes, Peaks) etcā¦
I now live in Cornwall so if folks are ever this way i would be keen
At the very very bottom of Cornwall
Yeah that would be great man. Iām based in Guildford so a little bit away (about3hrs 30mins away) but I donāt mind driving. I would just make a weekend of it and then could meet up and join on Sunday for the walk.
I actually just got back from the Peak District last night. Camped in Edale for the weekend, hiked Mam Tor and the surrounding area. Was amazing!
Is there a usual spot you guys hike on Sundays or does it change?
I may have to dust off the old wetsuit as well as the hiking boots then
I live at the very bottom of Cornwall. About two miles from lands end
Iām totally down for this. Live in Manchester so Iām a stones throw away from the Peaks
Iām up for camping with a bunch of you all, just need a bit of notice and be able to get there by train or close as I live in london.
Renting a car is an option but expensive and takes the fun out of it all.
Sorry mate, only just seen this.
Varies every week- this week in Dunham Massey / Altringham area
Ok I will bump this!
Reckon we can plan a camp in Edale (Peak District) in August some time?
Iād also lead a hike up onto Kinder via Crowden Clough (highest point in the Peaks)
