Um detoxing

She has helped me ruin all the progress i made. I made but Im scared to run Herr off

I feel bad about it I used her to try and make myself happy
I told her Loved her. She said the same

Of you two hang out she will make it to easy to pick up unless she can stay sober around you and not have temptation there maybe go for coffee in a cafe and talk about it

You choose to go with her BC you were lonely,is say if you can’t give yourself the time and self care you most desprately need right now and just be honest with yourself and her you are Gona be going rd in circles,…the least you can do for yourself and her is be truthful start recovery on the right footing

Thanks for all your advice. I know what I need to do I just don’t really want to but I have to

Unfortunately there’s things in life that we don’t want to do but for the sake of doing the right next thing must be done.all the best, for all you know she could of been saying I love you and not meaning it and using you just like you were her.when alcohol is involved it all get alittle/alot distorted codependency is a big issue especially in us addicts.all the best

Clean a few weeks + dating = this exact situation. Also, you’ve been here long enough to know there’s no short cuts through detox. If you really want help go to rehab. Stop soliciting to give out your number.

I’ve never seen a heard of him before, but saying that TS is getting so much busier nowadays

Well look i fully understand. How my behavior is affecting my life so I won’t be defensive. Its embarrassing posting this stuff over and over again. I just get in these modes where i just want to talk to someone to calm me down. For me to post anything is out of my comfort zone. Anyways thanks for the feed back. This disease sucks super hard.

That is fully understanable and that’s great your pushing outta your comfort zone, but there comes a time that even though we are going round in circles and causing Chao’s in our lives that alittle something changes each time we come back to try again as the saying goes UF NOTHING CHANGES NOTHING CHANGES cheesy but true.what are you will to do to stay clean . REALLY WHAT ATE YOU WILLING TO PUT IN . putting down is only the cusp of it .and regarding asking for numbers or given your number out it’s a MASSIVE NO NO IN THIS COMMUNITY.only 2 people have my number from TS and them relationship have been build over a 12/18 months period.

I took an opportunity to read through all this dialogue. I’m really proud of you for standing up for yourself, coming to the community and stepping into your confidence. Try to remember that even though you may get lonely you’re never alone.

When no one is around and you call out for help there is someone who always answers your call. It is yourself and there is strength in that. When you needed reminding that youre not alone you knew where to go. Here. And when help came to you, you received it. You have so much strength my friend, don’t lose sight of it :v:t5:

I know people here understand how hard this is. I have been to rehab. I have been through treatment. I have been through detox. I haven’t been able to stay clean for more then a few months. Its frustrating Um I think I will contact a sober house and see if I can make that work.

Look in to salvation army long term adult rehabilitation centers (at least in the US)

If you make it your number one priority I know you will succeed. I read your old posts; when you were sober you were full of hope. Good luck!

You reached out and identified you needed help! That’s awesome! It is hard doing something different and not getting sucked in to things with your person, spouse, friend etc. Especially when you know that once your start is hard to stop. I know I’m new here, but it looks like a great resource full of people who care. I admire you for reaching out & I hope you can keep your current momentum!

I’ve learned that I knew a lot more about what I needed than I gave myself credit for. If you feel you need that next step in getting to your next level of self awareness and understanding. I don’t see harm in trying something you never have before
