Update on my dad and I

Hi all!
I figured based in my post last week that an update is necessary.

My dad had surgery yesterday and is recovering. He had a huge blood clot in one of his arteries in his neck. Fortunately, they were able to remove the clot, but because of his condition and his unstable blood pressure, he is at high risk for a stroke.

I have remained strong throughout this process and have not consumed any alcohol. I am proud of myself, but my accomplishments are not worth celebrating until my dad is healthy again.

I am starting to believe that my dad’s drinking had something to do with all this ensued chaos. :confused:

Glad your dads surgery went well. Will say a prayer for his healing and he stays clear of a stroke. Drinking does do terrible things to our bodies, I know it caused both my parents to pass at a young age so you would think we would know better. Stay strong! If you ever need to talk let me know :slight_smile:
