My gripe isn’t about work. I teach a 6-week Stewardship course 3 times a year and a 13-week course once each year. It usually goes like this: 14 or 15 sign up. 8-10 actually show up for the class. About 4-5 actually attend all the classes. Those who do, rate the class highly and when I follow up with them, 2 or so are actually applying what they learned and are seeing progress in their finances.
Tonight, only 2 showed up. Know what? These two will likely make it. I imagine some have the flu or something else.
What’s funny is I also do budget coaching. Guess who often requests it? People who decided to drop out if my class. Guess who never requests coaching? People who’ve completed my class. Very hard not to belabor that point with my counselees
Haven’t had a class where no one showed up. Not sure what I’d do if that happened. Maybe take a break.
