Ways to focus better

Hi guys!
I’m a college student and I feel like I’m losing focus… I’m having hard time focusing while studying … Any suggestion of how I can improve it? Marijuana helped but that’s exactly what I’m trying to quit.

Hi. I would say make sure your getting good rest, drink water so your not dehydrated,eat breakfast in the morning,breathe more,try not to over think and stress. Limit being on your phone./tv. Listen to mellow, classical or jazz music. Depending on how long you’ve been recovering your body is still adjusting focus and clarity will come over time.

i think routine helps a ton…im a student as well and i am currently hoping that sobriety helps me witg this exact problem. when i was binge drinking/smoking i had zero routine and it was more difficult to keep things together

Eat protein at night (fish, chicken, beans, jerky and some veggies) to help you concentrate and sleep well. Eat carbs in the morning (yogurt, pancakes, toast and fruit) to keep your blood sugar level up to keep going. Lots of water, regular bed/wake times. A walk (without headphones) to give your mind and body a stretch.
