Haha, just a 2100 Calorie intake, 40% protein (between 190-210g per day), 25% fat and 35% carbs. 3 strength training sessions and 3 Zone 2 cardio sessions per week.

Focus on rest and recovery as well as I can while on a oncall shift rotation for nights on Plow duty.

Goal is for a 7-9% fat drop. Hit approximately 207lbs when finished and another 2-3ā€ waist drop.

Perhaps we are at that stage post New Year where folks have lost focus??

Hopefully not and perhaps most are hitting or have hit their goals!

Best of luck on your journeys everyone.

After losing 21 lbs between mid July and October I fell back into my stress eating habits and put 9 of it back on. Been back on track for about 2 weeks and down 3lbs. Will try checking in here again to try to keep myself accountable.

Still struggling with the last 3 pounds. Looking at gross calories and taking exercise out of the equation helps

217.1lbs on weigh in day. Down 1.1lbs this week. Goal is to hold steady at 0.75-1.0lbs per week.

Decided to potentially end cut when my winter works program ends, April 3 (end of the off and on night shifts for storms) so these two things coincide and I can get back to maintenance food and start lifting heavier again.

As I write this a large storm is again coming in tomorrow and I’m on call next weekend so I suspect I have about at least 7 nights shifts straight then 5 workdays (that could go either way, night or day). Regardless looks like a long haul for me again and maintaining a cut diet. It’s definitely hard.

I think I had better join this thread. I’ve got some health stuff going on aside from my recovery, and weight loss is going to be a part of it. I have been snacking a bit since quitting alcohol, ā€˜rewarding’ myself. I do have quite a bit to lose, and need to hold myself accountable for it. So here I am. I hope to join the fitness thread too, to keep me accountable.

I started my weight loss journey two days ago, so at my first check-in this morning I’m down 3lbs

What’s your daily calorie goal for ā€œnormal maintenanceā€?

Morning and welcome Binx
Nice to see you around.

Typically I’m about 2600-2700 in maintenance, but I adjust if weight is dropping or gaining, if I’m hitting more weights in a week or cardio. But that’s the typical zone for me to maintain with slower fat loss.

Weighed in this morning down another 0.2 lbs
It’s not much but another baby step the right direction.

I’ll precursor my check-in with saying I suspect that my loss for the past few days has been mostly water. My tummy is looking less swollen, and face less puffy. I’m just thankful my sobriety has meant I’m taking care of myself again :folded_hands:t2:

Just off the phone with my GP who had the results of my blood tests. Cholesterol is high, and I’m on the cusp of pre diabetes. All other tests were perfect.

So, starting today I’m back at at, getting those numbers reduced. More exercise and more attention to diet. Checking in at 89.7kg and the goal is hopefully 74kg once more.

First time posting here..

A little background- 5’3ā€, small bone frame. My bones are not meant to carry this much weight. Knees and back hurt a lot every day. To be normal weight according to doctor, I should be closer to 120 pounds. But I would settle for 135.

Current: 185.6 pounds, obese category

Quick checkin trying to lose and maintain the loss of the final 5lbs. Im yoyoing between 135 and 140 but i want to maintain 135. This morning im at 138. Making progress using gross calories in on my gym geek app and not net calories the myfitnesspal app encourages. A few more weeks of consistency…

Weighed in at 193 from 197 a couple of weeks ago. I decided not to follow my apps recommendation of 2100 calories a day and brought it down to 1608. I’m already happy with the results. It’s been a struggle but I’m doing it.
