What causes addiction?

I would love to be in that position right now (12months)…still lots of hard work ahead for me.

I just purchased it and I’m already struggling to put it down…very fascinating, eye opening stuff.

That sounds scary.
What are you afraid of? Quitting alcohol?? I’m confused lol

I just purchased the book. Awesome recommendation

I was damaging my organs with my eating. I had to lose weight or die young.

How did you develop your ideas there? That explained a lot.

This is very true :frowning:

I just peiced together what I know from school, therapy, and personal experience.

Anyone. Hit someone w enough, coke, meth or caffeine and they will develop an addiction at some point.

Even sugary foods. All addictions hijacks the reward center in the brain

From a philosophical side, people become addicts when they find that reality is too painful to face so they go for quick instant pleasures and indulge in them to the point where it cripples them and blinds them.
People discard happiness and challenge for instant gratification, comfortability and cheap pleasure.
