Congratulations @Englishd! I’ve always appreciated your posts and insight especially when it is about how important it is to always keep an eye on and work on your sobriety - I would never want to go back to the place where I had to dig myself out of.

Damn Derick, I love to see this! I know I’m a lurky person these days but I always get excited to read what you have written or responded to others. I get super excited when the Truth and Tough Love gets brought back. You were exactly the friend I needed in those first few years and I am eternally grateful for you.
Watching you grow and change these last 8 years has been an absolute gift. I remember when you did that interview so long ago, your first step in the direction your life would end up going, and I was so proud of you. And I’m always so proud of you every day since.
Thank you for unapologetically being you, for helping me (and others) find the truth in the dark, and being my brother in this wild fucking ride.
May you never catch up to me and both of us continue to thrive and live our best lives!

Belated but congrats on 8 years. I hit 8 years in September, a day never goes by where I’m not complacent about being in recovery. Some days are harder then others but being present and mindful helps me continue to move in the right direction. Appreciate you sharing
