Long shot but did you ever play Medievia?
Valheim (for me, best game ever made)
V rising
Helldivers 2 (pick up and play)
Sea of Thieves (for chill)
Deep Rock Galactic
Right now I can’t decide between
- Zelda, PhantomHourglass
- Okami
- ScarletHollow
Any experience with these?
I’ve heard that Concerned Ape has been working on a new game, though I haven’t looked into it that much. It’s nice that he’s still working on Stardew Valley even with the new game in the works. I didn’t know there was a Stardew Valley board game! I had to look it up and it’s such a cute looking game.
I also like that there is no rush with the game. Sometimes life gets busy for me, so I need live service games that don’t require a lot of time every day, but is there if I want to play for a long period. I kind of get that out of Genshin Impact. Despite the reputation it has in some circles, the art and music are so beautifully done that it can be enjoyable to just spend time in the world. I think that Stardew Valley also has that appeal with the chill aspect to it. You can speed run and have the best farm in two years or still be moseying around after ten years, but its fine.
I don’t know, you don’t sound like a boring player to me. I think we all like what we like. No need to fit into anyone else’s idea of ‘fun’.
40 here brother, never to late to puck something up!
Plenty of us old timers online these days to.
Yup. Exactly this. I’d say gamers our age are pretty common these days. Its never to late to give something new a try.
I’m sure, lol. I’m not one for any amount of screen time (tv, computer monitor), and am trying my darndest to drop the phone time.
Hoping to continue making a habit of gym and other adventures while I still can.
Perhaps that day will come, but it’s not this day.
But whatever folks enjoy, I’m all for.
Fair play, ive recemtly dropped how much i game for added gym time. So i know how you feel.
I played The Mortuary Assistant on steam. Such a fun, short game. It’s also scary af!
Stardew Valley, Animal Crossing and Harvest Moon are up there for my stress-free games.
I love the Final Fantasy series; I’m waiting for FFVII Rebirth to come out, but I can’t afford a PS5 unfortunately, aha.
I recently bought Tears of the Kingdom and am enjoying that, particularly after loving BOTW.
Glad there’s a thread for this kind of stuff!
I can’t believe I’m redoing the GTA V story, but that what I’m on these days. And I still love it
I wanted to see how it looked on my ps5. And it looks nice
After a month AGAIN on RDR2…Guess I’m doomed by Rockstar or something
For me I play monster hunter world iceborn over 4000hrs ark 5000hrs DayZ 4000hrs but I’m in rehab in Huntington WV life house and Im getting a job and hopeing to get another gaming laptop to play agin
Now that you’ve had the headset for a while, how do you like it?
Oh man its actually one of the best ive owned so far excellent quality. Real good multidirectional sound
Awesome. Good to hear. Always nice to get first hand experience reviews on products like that.
Have anyone tried the new Stardew valley update yet?
It was said to come out at the end of April, but some sites says it’s already out.
Won’t come for mobile/Android for a while but I’m really curious. There’s hints about a boom store, and new festivals. There’s also some new liked/favorite items for what I can see on Stardew Wiki. Alex for example is supposed to like Field Snacks which has been a disliked items before.
I recommend Soma, a sci-fi/horror (but not really scary) lovecraftian video game set deep in the ocean, mostly in water bases Giger would be proud of. Very intense, claustrophobic, with a strong feeling of loneliness
@Pat_m Sounds interesting. Have to check that out.
I recently gave up on Mass Effect 1. I have played the game way back years ago before I got seriously into game design and game development myself and now started it again to find out from a game design perspective what I did not like the last time I played it.
Now I am playing Gone Home. I have found it generally immersive but I am also analysing the sh** out of it like ever good professional. Once you have seen it, you can’t unsee it
I know the feeling now that my oldest is in a design/art videogame school. She tells me a lot when I or we play together. It’s kind of cool! Sometimes I just ask her to shut up and enjoy the game though
