Whats your favorite holiday or day of celebration and why? and how do you celebrate

For me its hands down Halloween :jack_o_lantern:

You get to be whoever you wanna be and i dont believe in age limits for trick or treating -

Experiencing haunted houses, watching scary movies, being as goofy as you wanna be (letting the inner kid out)…i love decorating, making Halloween themed foods /drinks and of course dressing up.
The whole fall season is just wrapped around Halloween for me :ghost: pumpkin patches, hayrides, mazes…etc.

Whats your favorite holiday or day of celebration and why?

Thanksgiving. Food, gratitude, loved ones and laughter AND no obligation gifting! I could do it once a month, and should. :turkey:

Yes fall weather is lovely - i just wish we could experience it for longer. Seems we are going from summer to winter quicker every year and missing out on fall and spring.

Easter. Weather is better than x-mas. It’s less important to my family than x-mas so 4 days off from any obligations. I love Easter. :sunglasses::grimacing:

Christmas! Just have really good memories as a kid, start at moms & then go to dads. It was jam packed and a whirlwind, but I loved it. Carried on celebrating at my moms up until this year, she came to our house.

Just always felt so happy to see everyone!!! Great memories and more to come with our own kids…

How lovely - So glad that you’ve had so many fond memories of Christmas holiday and are able to carry on the traditions now at your home.

I like Easter, not for the religious aspect but the odd cultural aspects, especially:

  • Peep Dioramas! So many cool works of art using peeps! The ones I have made are not very good but it’s fun to make them.
*Chocolate ! Chocolate bunnies, chocolate eggs, oh boy, do I love chocolate.

New years day
I love the 1st day of the year
The weather is amazing

A sunny new years day beats everything
And it’s even better when your not hung over

I’m usually doing very well during the holidays or celebrations because I practice and practice this sobriety thing

I only have 11 days right now. I have had much more then 11 days though. The longest streak is 6 months for me. I’ll get there again as long as I don’t give up and protect my sobriety date.
