I’ll go deeper than 2016…Birth - Present:

- IL to LA, back to IL, to CA, and back to IL is all kid/teen stuff and I had no choice in the matter(s)
- I originally moved to Portland, OR in 1994,
- did the “addiction geography change” to:
- Albuquerque, NM,
- did zero recovery and not-so-shockingly:
relapsed, - did another “addiction geography change” to:
- my mom’s (back in Illinois [thinking, suuuurely that would do the trick
]), - again: did zero recovery and not-so-shockingly (you guessed it): relapsed,
- did another-another “addiction geography change” back to:
- Portland, OR in 1998 (because everyone I used with back in '94-'95 was either dead or in prison so now, “for real”
I would stop drinking & using ) and have been back in Portland ever since. - That said, I only FINALLY received that Gift of Desperation 624 days ago and:
- have been IN Recovery for 623 days!
Yeesh…I’m exhausted after alla that.

Oh it’s interesting I never thought to list places I lived in in order this way.
Born and raised in Maine, USA. Moved to Thailand then Cambodia. From there I moved to Turkey from there to Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Jordan then did a short stint in Afghanistan and Iran before ending back in Kyrgyzstan where I’ve been for about 10 years now.

I’m from Northumberland in the North East of England. Specifically, I wasn’t born (but grew up) in a town called Alnwick, known for the Alnwick Castle & Gardens, as well as Barter Books (used to be one of Europe’s biggest secondhand book shops - converted from the town’s old railway station which closed in the late 1960’s).
I now live in a small town called Amble which is situated about 10 miles southeast of Alnwick.
