I love the mountains. Hiking, camping, snowboarding, all of it :yellow_heart: Hiking and trails are what’s helping keep me sober through this quarentine!

I love the incline! It was closed. It might be open now bc we’ve moved to a “safer at home” order

Correct me if I’m wrong; isn’t Barrow the northernmost city in the United States?
Winter must be insane AF!

You are correct. They renamed the town a few years back but most still call it Barrow like myself but new name is Utqiagvik. I have never been so far north but they are brutal most of the state at times of winter. Fairbanks gets the extreme highs in summer reaching 100 degrees and in winter gets to -50.

When I was using heavily I had pretty severe asthma (crack, heroin, pot, cigs) were probably not a great combo. I could barely walk without becoming very winded. I just had my physical the other day and my O2 levels were excellent. I’m able to handle heavy exertion and haven’t had an asthma attack in a long time. I bet you will notice a huge difference next time you are out there!

I was the same way when I was on the Gulf coast. I felt like I was suffocating from the thick air! I got really sick one weekend from being overheated :fire:
