That’s awesome! love it down there. Its nice to see someone else from NJ on the forum. We used to have a summer house in Manahawkin but had to sell it just before super storm Sandy. Hopefully, some day we’ll get another.

You’re lucky you sold before the storm…it devastated so many areas like Mystic Island, LBI, etc. I was fortunate and had no damage. My dad I stayed through the storm, so I am so thankful we were spared.
I love this part of NJ…you couldn’t get me to move anywhere else…at least until my husband and I retire, which is a long time coming; then across the pond I go!

Yeah man. My parents moved here from Cali like 15 years ago. So wifey and I would come up on vacation every year. We always knew that we wanted to move here someday. But you know how it goes. We were stuck in the rat race. We had good jobs and such.
So We came here in vacation in July. Things were partially open then and so we masked up, loaded the kids and drove up here. It was an awesome time!
Then we got back home (San Diego) on July 5th.
then On July 6th, they cancelled school indefinitely. Wifey and I looked at each other and we were like “fuck this” and we decided to move to a plAce that wasn’t shut down. By my birthday on September 3, we were moved here.
It was all pretty terrifying, but it worked out pretty darn well
