Here is our 3 cats all doing what they do best… (from left to right) Otis (AKA - Pai Mei), Clementine and Delilah!
All in a row. That’s so cool. I can never get my 4 like that. Sometimes 3 if I’m feeding them.
Good looking guys you got there.
Purrfect spot for them.
Yep! They usually don’t ALL lay there so that was a pic opportunity waiting for me to just snap! I’ll have to post a few more of them individually so you can actually see them a bit better sometime.
We also have 3 dogs… one being an 110 lb. Shepherd… its like living in a zoo over here… especially when all 4 of our kids were living here too! HAHAHA
We’re
4 cats.
2 dogs.
All rescues. We’ve always been a pet family. At one point we had 5 cats. 4 orange tabbies and a white one. Caught them all under the Christmas tree and was able to get a pic. Frankly I though 5 cats in one pic was quite the accomplishment.
Here’s my namesake Daisy. Daisycat. She loves her box and banana. Yes we actually bought her a box with a chin scratch. She loves it . She goes in it after every meal and washes up.
And this is a great reason to get to bed first in my house before there’s no more room.
Nice meeting and chatting with ya.
Rainbow, my 17-year-old boy
Puma, my 3-year-old Burmese who was abandoned and we took in. This was 2 weeks after we rescued him last September. Today he is 14 pounds, HUGE cheeks, and just got fixed yesterday…he is quite confused about where those went
So you too have a zoo! Haha. Yup, we’ve always had animals too, probably too many. Having 3 dogs in the house makes for a pack mentality for them so they are rather crazy regularly together.
We don’t have any orange tabbies, but they are my favorite. My first cat, Goldie when I was little was an orange female. I will be sure to post some pics of the kitties!!
Our cats love the little crates clementines come in. But that box for your Daisy is adorable!!
We’ve had 3 dogs before twice.
We are on our 3rd batch of pets.
First batch before children.
Second batch with children
Third batch with just wifey and me.
Never wanted 3 dogs. But each time the 3rd dog found us. We tried to get rid of them put up signs etc… but we are saps and couldn’t bring them down to the pound in case they might put them down.
Now we get young ones to keep the old one company. But we are done with that game too. So at 61 this is our last 2 dogs. It may sound weird but I don’t want any of my pets to out live me. And have to have someone put them in a strange home. Kind of silly and not sure why I’m telling you but that is one of my biggest fears in life and death.
Let’s stick to the topic shall we.
That’s Max one of those third dogs. How could I bring that big love to the pound.
And O’Malley with his arm around Joe. They love their heated beds. They were part of the 2nd batch I mentioned.
Hey there!! Saturday was a crazy day, in a good way. Thanks for the reply!! Love seeing the pics of your kitties and doggies too! Hubby and I both have been married before, so he and his wife had several animals throughout their marriage and my ex and I had one cat (was my childhood cat) and then a dog through our 16 year marriage.
We’ve added on over the years as so many often do. When I moved in back in Dec 2012, he/we had 2 and 1/2 dogs and 1 cat (I say 1/2 of a dog because the dog was his daughter’s, my step daughter’s and the dog went back and forth when the child went back and forth to his ex’s and then back). In Jan 2013 he adopted a puppy for his son. So then we had 3 and a 1/2 dogs. In May 2014 one of our dogs we needed to re-home unfortunately so then we were down to 2 and a1/2 dogs and 1 cat. In Sept 2014 I got my pup, so we were back to 3 and a 1/2 dogs. In Nov 2014 sadly our daughter’s dog passed away so we went down to 3 dogs (which are the same 3 we have now) and 1 cat. In Feb 2015 we adopted another cat (hubby is a veterinarian so we see a lot of animals!) We coasted along with them for awhile. 3 dogs and 2 cats. Then in Nov 2016, another kitten crossed our paths and we brought her home for our youngest. Now we had 3 dogs, 3 cats. June 2019 our oldest cat got real sick and needed to be euthanized. So we were back to 2 cats and same 3 dogs. Then in Sept 2020 another cat came in to the clinic with an injured tail and hubby treated it and then she became ours. So back to 3 cats.
As it stands now we have:
A 15 will be 16 year old Beagle - Stretch
An 8 year old Brittany/Collie mix - Henry
A 7 1/2 year old German Shepherd - Wyatt
Almost 8 year old long haired mostly white cat - Otis (Pai Mei)
A 5 year old short haired brown/grey tabby cat - Clementine
Roughly a 1-1 1/2 long haired black/grey cat - Delilah
We will never have 3 dogs again. Just no! Our old dog (hubby’s) is now high needs and is on meds and is senile. Our middle dog is our son’s dog and he is talking about when he and his gf get out of their apt and into a different place they may take him. The Shepherd is my dog and is a huge baby. The cats are all ours even though the middle cat is “technically” our youngest daughter’s but there is no way that cat is leaving. Im too attached to all of them. It seems I’ve become more and more a cat person as the dogs in so many ways have become high(er) maintenence over the years.
I get you about not wanting the animals to out live yourself. It would be difficult for the animals to adjust in such a bummer circumstance. I definitely understand. Im 46 and hubby’s 50. Some day we hope to just have 1-2 dogs and 2-3 cats. Honestly I could take more cats! Ha.
