maybe all your people are coming on Sunday or will be ‘day trippers’.
So decided to not make the hour ride for the 100% totality view, and our area is calling for clear skies… I believe they are saying we will be around 97% totality here at our residence. Plus it’s gonna be like 12C tomorrow so wanna do a bike ride early afternoon prior too.
The red line in pic is where the sun will be at 4:30pm when it’s full eclipse mode, so will have a great unobstructed view over the water. Wish I had a strong enough ND filter to get a decent shot, but will try anyway… got me glasses ready!
So freakin cool!! Great pics!!!
I mean, it’s getting dark-ish here in Omaha now. I guess in 5 minutes we have maximum, which is just super cloudy cover, as I understand.
Added: As a GenX-er, I was taught my eyes would be fried no matter how I looked at an eclipse.
Hopefully my time lapse works and I can figure out how to post here…
Currently about 30 mins into it.
We just had totality here. We couldn’t actually see it but it was pretty trippy getting so dark at 3:18pm
The streetlights turned on!
During totality. Really nice! 1:33pm
Bottom pic to the west. Top to the northeast
@HoofHearted Great pics, great you experienced it!
Here in South Carolina it was 80%. Long shadows and dusk like. I did get to see the total in 2017, it was awesome. Love all the pictures.
How is this pronounced?

It was cool. I love the eerie twilight that we had here in NC.
Amazing experience! The shimmering shadows on the ground during totality were a trip! We saw the last one but the corona on this one was simply beautiful. One of the people I was with took this photo through their eclipse glasses with their fancy phone. Stunning.
Sweet…nice part of Southern ON…I camp at The Massassauga Provincial Park each summer…some years keep a pontoon boat in Port Severn…
