Women's hormonal roller-coaster

yep, it’s a fucking shitshow, every month, until perimenopause, than the shitshow gets a cream topping :see_no_evil_monkey:
breath, it will pass.
i feel with you, the hormone induced eating attacks are one of the main reasons for my massive overweight. i have no advice, just compassion and hugs :people_hugging:

I just ate a few more carbs. And now satisfied.
Today in big mirror during body balance class I was looking very good, tall, strong. Sorry this should not sound egocentric but sometimes I really don’t know why I hate myself so much from time to time. Now I just got big t._s for now as a symptom.:rofl::rofl:

Holy guacomole..
Much love

I’m sure you look amazing!
I’m glad that you work so hard on having a positive body image and improved self-perception. It always makes me happy when I read that you feel comfortable in and with your body. You have come a long way, thank you for sharing openly and honestly :hugs:
For me hating my body was closely tied to hormones, even more in perimenopause when all the shitshow doubled. It got better with antidepressants (as my all over wellbeing and mental state). Since that crap finally stopped for good I didn’t have one single episode of body hating. Just wanted to share my experience.

Back down to 4 h of sleep. Day 22, second half off cycle. Tracked and slept better during the first 17 days or so.
I am lying in bed being angry about what? That I wanted to treat my poor sleep with CBT when the root cause seems to be predominantly hormonal? Even when I kept on repeating that i don’t understand and it’s getting worse over the years and not even better without caffeine for over 70 days and I also don’t think it’s still the alcohol I had 2796 days ago. Could be. Who knows. Doing Yin yoga and all the shit. Will see a new gynecologist, a woman, I am desperate to even take some sort of pill. Also angry that I feel greedy of wanting 6h of sleep instead of 4. Don’t be such a Sissy. Don’t complain. Could be worse.
Do you remember when we said photoshopped? Well, my text is not AI-shopped. I am not well rested, I’ll stop now. Gym will open in 75 min…

Let it out, vent away. A burden shared is a burden halfed. At least for the moment :people_hugging:

Someone else facing extremely dry scalp starting at round day 21? I mean it is not only dry, it is like a snake changing skin completely. The skin is falling off my head. Lol, sorry for the details.

I have some treatments and tricks to deal with it like using the hypoallergenic scalp caring stuff my dermatologist recommended. It heals around day 1 and back to normal.

How I love it.

I have developed a similar issue with extremly dry scalp at the end of perimenopause. It got better when hormones balanced on a low level but is still an issue, but far less than when it was at its peak.
I use a special shampoo that helps.
Such issues can absolutely fuck off, dammed hormones. Hugs to you :people_hugging:

I found some other treatment and bought now a tool to give massage to the scalp.
Will see how that works and try to remember to take extra care starting day 21.

Beside of that…

Somehow I love the pain in my lower abdomen as I know it takes the weight off my chest and clears my mind.

The snake is through newborn process now.

Ahhhhhhhhh, I made an appointment at the gynecologist, first name Nicola. Now I found out it’s a man. They should declare this on their homepage. Again. Okay, I’ll see how that goes.

Well, I won’t dig into thinking about their motivation to do this specialisation.

He was nice. I told him of course that I was expecting a woman :grimacing:

I’ll try some pill without estrogen. Fingers crossed

Oh no, has he italian roots? That’s frustrating.
But he can be a good gynecologist, though. I hope he finds the best treatment for you.

I LOVE the freedom of my Gestagen pill. I take it without a break, so I don’t have my period anymore. I feel so much better!
Fingers crossed for you that the pill helps you, too!
