Would you wear this?

I’m trying to decide if I’m brave enough to wear this to functions…

@Sarah - errr… not me! Looks a bit too “girly” for me :joy: :joy:
But I would be wary of wearing anything that obvious anyway - there is still a stigma attached to addiction, alcoholism, mental health issues that could attract adverse reactions. However, this is just my “take” on it. Would be interesting to see what others think!

However, on a “dress down day” at work a few months ago, I did wear a T-shirt with “This too shall pass” across the front (this being a term used a lot in the rooms of AA). No one at work picked up on any specific meaning. Also, no one approached me confidentially to say that they were a member of AA (maybe all the more reason to maintain my anonymity)!

@Sarah I would definitely wear it! You could put #notpregnant on the back!

@Sarah I would definitely wear that proudly! One thing to consider. … don’t be surprised if someone approaches you that is struggling with addiction (and doesn’t know how to take that first step) and asks you about yours. You may actually lead someone to recovery from simply wearing a word…amazing how these little things work!
