Arthur was astounded to read all this, and understand it too, as Sanskrit was not a language he had ever been able to read before. Old English aye -that ghastly Beowulf in school! Latin OK, Marcus Aurelius’ Meditations was still a source of inspiration to him, and yes, he knew some Greek as well, although it had been decades since he last tried to read Homers’ Odyssey in its original language. But Sanskrit nope. And what was he to do with the key he was still clasping, that was still vibrating, humming, buzzing, warm inside his clenched fist, like some weird kind of adult toy?

But first things first as he felt the urge to find a bathroom :hugs: Adventures work on the bladder that’s for sure!
So he grabbed the book in one hand and holds the key in the other and…

… an odd sensation befell him. His familiar surroundings suddenly felt so mundane. After the mind-expanding experience Arthur just had, the triviality of floors and walls and shelves and even bathrooms could not satisfy a cold ichor that has come over him.

He, as promised by the text, can know or do anything. What is that, but a god? He shivered, half enraptured by a sense of power, but also from the chilly warning: seeker beware.

As he was entering the bathroom, the open book in one and the key in his other hand, he contemplated the endless possibilities. Could he unravel the mysteries of the universe, or uncover secrets lost to time? The temptation was overwhelming.
He closed the door behind him with an elbow, but the warning resonated deeper with each passing moment. ‘Seeker Beware’ – the words were not just a caution, but a prophecy of the burden that knowledge could bring. With great power came great responsibility, and Arthur wondered if he was ready to shoulder such a weight.
Not willing to let go of his treasures, he used the tip of his shoe to open the toilet lid while simultaneously glancing down at the book. He was the keeper of a great secret, a guardian of knowledge that could change everything.
A guardian that now needed another hand, though.

While Arthur was balancing on one leg, trying to figure out how to guard universal stuff and deal with the mundane problems of a human body simultaneously, the doorbell rang quite urgently.
“Fuck! I completely forgot!”

Arthur woke up breathing heavily. It wasnt a doorbell, it was his alarm clock. He was not in library, he was in his own bed. Living his boring life. “Fuck” he thought as he wishes his dream was real.
Arthur was glad he woke up before he used the toilet in his dream. It happened before, urge to pee in his dream. Didn’t end up good. “Probably first and last success today” he thought.

He jumped back in horror looking back at him was a demon. Well he thought it was a demon it had all the parts of a demon, horns, cloven hooves, long sharp teeth, nails like daggers, but they weren’t in the right places. It had horns growing out of its arse, the hooves were where horns should be it was all wrong and then it spoke. It’s voice was clear as a bell with received pronunciation and no accent which was disturbing but not as disturbing as what it said…

“You are a creature made from the parts of many other creatures, but you are missing just one part. It is your goal to find that one missing part and to complete the puzzle that is your thrawn existence.”
As he stood in the icy cold bathroom Arthur did an inventory of the creature that appeared in the mirror. Eyes of a pig - check, snout of a lemur - check, skin of a rhinoceros-check. But sure enough he was missing one thing which was….

Which was, Arthur mind scrambled to find the missing piece, oh for christ sakes, why couldn’t he remember. I can help you, a gravelly voice whispered. Arthur eyes widened as his hair stood up and goosebumps crept over his skin. What the-
Next thing Arthur knew his vision was blurry and he felt his body spinning. It was almost as if he was being sucked through a vortex. His head began to pound and when he felt that he couldnt take it anymore, all was still, all was silent. Arthur opened his eyes and surveyed his surroundings. He was in a forest, with tall dark pine trees. So enormous that it blocked out most of the sunlight. Arthur looking up at them and admiring their strange beauty, heard voices behind him. Arthur whipped around to see three dark shadows approach, arthur took cover behind the massive trunk of a pine tree.
“For the last time lad, where did thou put it”
“I bloody told you, I dont know what yer talking about”
Arthur froze and felt his skin crawl. He slowly took a glance at those shadows, to see two men standing over a third. Only that third, was no ordinary man. That man was arthur.
