Yesterday I had a little “aha” moment after watching that video that beardy posted. How the brain and chemicals in the brain are adjusting. Also I read two posts from new ladies yesterday that kind of hit home with just the insanity of it all, the drinks taking a front row to everything.
Anyway, I woke up this morning and actually prayed for just today to go to bed sober. I have a birthday this month and I don’t want to be that old lady who drinks too much, lol.
I have to get out more too; that’s my big trigger point.
Love all the help I get here, it really does help. :slight_smile:

Girl, I hear you on being that old lady who drinks too much. My grandson was a HUGE incentive for me to get sober. I didn’t want him to remember a drunk Grammie.

My son, who is all I have here so we’re pretty close; he’s going to be 32 next month and when I told my sister that I was getting sober she said, “I bet Marc will too”… he tends to follow my lead. (he’s had his own issues.) Well don’t you know he says to me the other day, “Mom, it’s been 7 days no drinking!”… my heart is full even saying it now… :slight_smile:
