Trevor is having some trouble with his phone.

He tries to get computer access from local library when he can in order to log in here and do a quick catch up. He did a post about a week ago in the check in thread saying he should be back with us in a week or so when he gets his new phone :blush:.

Just fyi @bluekoolaid_88 phone is not communicating with App. He is in process of obtaining mew phone soon. He and Nova are doing well and will be back!

Hey, Mitch! Thanks for checking in. :face_holding_back_tears: How’s it going?

I’m good. Still sober, hitting the gym, and as the young kids say, “keeping my foot on they neck”. :joy:

It’s been a combination of things. It’s my busy season at work. By the time I get home/log off, I am mentally FRIED and I shut my brain off. :brain::prohibited:

During this time, I also mimic nature :maple_leaf::fallen_leaf: by getting in as much rest as I can and preparing for my winter rituals. :milky_way: It’s something I actually just started practicing last year and it significantly helped with the work stress, holiday stress, and Midwest winter stress (you know how winter can get :joy:).

My anxiety has gotten a bit better too. I’ve been working on management. And you definitely called it, these goons got scared of a little snow and 20° degree weather so it looks like they are heading to wherever they came from. They were in my old Chicago neighborhood (where my parents still live) last week causing trouble. I had to drop my mom off in front of the local restaurant we were going to, made sure she got inside, and I went to go park my car luckily a short walk away. I didn’t want to take any chances.

Finally, I have a follow-up appt. with my physician next week. I was going through hormonal imbalances and I feel so much better with the exception of this week. Just bad cramping on and off since Saturday. Fucking me up bad. :sob: Otherwise, my depressive episodes are pretty much gone. :flushed_face: I had no idea how bad it was until now. My first 11 months sober my mood had significantly improved. I think we all can relate to that. However, after that, there were dips here and there. It got worse this past year and I took action when I noticed other symptoms outside of the depression. I actually feel like the girl I was BEFORE the drinking. :face_holding_back_tears:

Anyways, that’s my very long update. I’ll be around but hibernating. I have some memes I’ve been meaning to share so I’ll catch up on those. Also have to catch up on the fitness thread. :eyes:

I’m hanging in there. Plodding along and feeling better. Feels like I’m just starting to come out of my depression. My emotional muscles are growing faster than my actual muscles.

So glad to hear the goons are starting to fuck off. And I’m stoked your fam wasn’t affected. Good luck with your appointment! Keep sticking that foot where it belongs!

It’s more so spiritual work. :face_with_hand_over_mouth: It’s the Rauhnächte ritual or the 13 wishes of yule. The Germans will be familiar with this. :slightly_smiling_face: Anyways, I did it last year and I found my little 13th wish in the summer. I have a tendency to write things down on little pieces of paper, forget about it, then accidentally find my little note again. :rofl: I was so proud because I was actually keeping up with my wish. :face_holding_back_tears: I plan on making a post and sharing about it come winter solstice.

Some begin on the winter solstice and others begin on the night of December 24th going into the 25th. And it lasts for 13 nights.

It is the last wish that one is responsible for. Basically one’s own “project” for the year. The rest is left up to the Universe. :milky_way:
