I grew up with an alcoholic dad, and a mom who had manic depression. Both extremely violent. They constantly argued and fought, regardless if us kids were there or not.My mom beat the living shit out of us, except for the youngest brother. My dad was outright fucking cruel to me, and not my brothers. Sure, he would punch us all, but what I got from him was wayyyy wayyyy more extreme. I have no idea what's going on, but the older I get, the more things that surface. I'm 44 now. I guess this isn't about addictions, not abuse, but hey?
