I am a 28 year old male who has recently accepted the fact that I am an alcoholic.

I grew up with alcohol always being present. At my first birthday party at a park, which was well documented by a video camera, there are more kegs present than children.

After a 6-year relationship recently came to an end, I turned to alcohol to numb the pain. I became fairly good at hiding my addiction, and denied the advice from my closest family members to slow down the drinking. I did not realize this was a problem until I was pulled over and my BAC was twice the limit.

My court date is June 19, at which point I will find out what I am in for. Until then, my goal is to keep my job by refraining from telling my employer all of the details of my situation.
