I am a 56-year old male. I started, and always seem to start, using
Alcohol. I have had a long and mostly frustrating experience in face-to-face 12-step, probably due to my analytical nature. I like online. Seems less critical. I am working on my LCDC, and will start internship soon. Also complicating things, I am Bipolar 1to the point of being disable and cannot easily hold a job. I feel very grateful, though, and hope to work soon. I am having a lot of help from Buprenorphine, which stops my cravings and impulses cold. So, I’m optimistic and glad for finding “Talking Sober” during Covid19.
