10 month sober

Reece McGee | 10 Months Sober and Moving Forward
Today I’m 10 months sober, and I’ve completed the 12 Steps — something I’m genuinely proud of.
Over the past 10 months, recovery has completely changed the direction of my life. What started as a commitment to stay sober has grown into something much bigger. It’s become about discipline, clarity, self-awareness, and building a life with real structure and purpose.
Working through the 12 Steps has given me a solid foundation to move forward with confidence. It’s helped me develop a stronger mindset, better habits, and a more grounded approach to life. I’ve learned the importance of consistency, accountability, and showing up every day, regardless of how I feel.
The biggest change for me has been stability. My thinking is clearer, my mental health is stronger, and I’m able to handle life in a way I never could before. I feel more in control, more focused, and more certain about the path I’m on.
Life is moving forward in a positive direction. I’m building routines, setting goals, and continuing to grow as a person. Recovery has given me momentum, and I’m committed to protecting that and pushing forward.
Completing the 12 Steps isn’t the end — it’s the beginning of a new chapter. A chapter built on consistency, growth, and long-term change.
One of the most important things to me now is giving back. The support I’ve had along the way has made a huge difference, and I want to be able to offer that same support and encouragement to others in recovery.
10 months sober today, and I’m focused on continuing to grow, stay grounded, and keep moving forward — one day at a time. #leeds Life in Recovery
