I feel like I’m going to crack. Mainly due to boredom, or feeling like I “deserve” a “reward”.
Someone smash me in the face!
Your body and mind will reward you.Your body will get the chance to heal the way it’s supposed to so you can feel good again and your mind will be clear which is one of the best feelings, to be able to have control over your own mind is amazing, we forget that when we are drinking.
I feel like I need that reward all the time, but life has been so much better when I don’t drink.
“Move a muscle, change a thought”…do something, anything, physical to get the chemicals in your brain redirected. Do jump n jacks, dance, push ups, go for a brisk walk, yoga, whatever. Have a little something sugary. It really does work. YouTube recovery speakers or messages and listen to them during a walk. It all helps you get out of your head. Boredom was a huge trigger for me, sometimes just playing little games on my phone helps. Meditation can be a good outlet if you’re able to actually stay still and relax long enough. Whatever it takes! Work it, you’re worth it!
