I’m 14 days sober. This is the longest I have gone without drinking since I started 10 years. It started to control my life, my work, my relationship and my overall health. I knew for a long time that it just wasn’t right for me and I almost lost everything I’ve worked for. Sure, i have cravings, every day and i know that I’m still in the early stages of many more to come but i sleep better, my hair and skin looking shinier and healthier, and I’ve dropped weight. I wake up feeling refreshed. What I have found easiest is to keep busy, try not to be alone or in an atmosphere where it will trigger. The confidence and self worth level is a much better high!
Fantastic news!!! Those first few weeks are no joke…congratulations on persevering! Hope to see you coming back to let us know what works and to reach out if times get rough❤️
Keep it up!
Nice work! Keep going- I’m in the same boat- we can do this!
Great job. Congrats!
What is the best method to control the craving to have a drink after work. Please don’t say read a book!
Congratulations!
2 weeks is great, keep it up!
Thank you!!
When I have a craving for that drink at the end of a stressful/or good day! I usually will go to the gym, walk around the block or go grocery shopping. Avoiding coming straight home when I have a craving has seemed to work for me.
Congrats on 14 days. Be proud of yourself.
Best wishes
After work beers we’re my thing too. I’m on day 13 sober and I have found that if I tell myself I’m going to go home and workout FIRST then I don’t ever go back to town. This has worked. I don’t have those cravings after work so much any more. But I sure am today with the beautiful bbq type weather happening…
Congratulations!!!
