Congratulations Guy…is there any other tools used, how u overcome to your Friends, what have u done with thé Time u used to drink? I m on my 50 days but seems that gonna break there …i m fell alone since i m not drinking…any help are welcome

Congrats on your 50 days!!! I spend a lot of time (sometimes too much) being on here with others also working to improve their lives. That helped me. Also, out walking in nature…seeing the birds and trees and sky…it soothes me. I also like writing in my journal and joining others in meditation and quiet yoga. Some people find meetings especially helpful for meeting others. :heart:

Hi, Congratulations on your 50 days. The first days are the hardest. At about 100 days i more or less stopped counting the days and it got easier and easier. I have to admit that i avoided friends that always involved drinking. Unfortunately i am still doing it with some up until now, as i would not know what to do with these people, when i am not drinking as this was the only thing we were doing. I filled that gap in my life with a) family, b) working at home in my house, c) much more job related work (which has not yet paid off …d) Sport/activities outside like walking. I do that every day, at least 1 hour listening to podcasts etc…

I guess you will need to try different things yourself to find out what works for you. Anything is better than wasting your time, money and health with drinking.

Good luck. You can do it. Take it one day at a time and dont worry about tomorrow

I’m here too. 1500 days yesterday. Grateful to be sober. Grateful for recovery. :purple_heart:

C-sun….now that’s a name I haven’t seen in a very long time……someone I recall who had a very strong impact on my early days of sobriety. Hope she’s doing well :pray:
