Today marks 18 months sober for me! I’m so excited and proud! 18 months ago I would have never thought this possible.

This time around it was pretty consistent. I’ve relapsed so many times in the past. This time I put on my big girl panties and just sucked up all the hurt, stress, anxiety & excuses to drink & continued to push forward. So glad I did too!

Notice a change? I’m not sure what you mean.

Change in mood or your outlook on life? Also did you find the cravings for alcohol got easier?

This time around I felt so broken and hopeless that I was willing to do anything I was told to try to feel better. I walked into AA with my tail between my legs. I needed a friend and someone to give me directions on how to stay alive. I had lost everyone who I loved in this world. No one wanted to have anything to do with me. My outlook on life changed when I realized that I didn’t have the nerve to kill myself and so I better figure out a way to live sober.
