Good morning my friends
I’m starting my 18th day of sobriety today, and I’m feeling so proud of myself!
I write in my diary every day, including my feelings and plans for the day. I’m also reading a couple books that I’m finding are helping me a lot through this process. The first one is “Don’t sweat the small stuff…and it’s all small stuff” by Richard Carlson. Nice little book, gives you 100 thoughtful tips to help you with…well, stopping sweating the small stuff. The second book I’m reading is “The unexpected joy of being sober” by Catherine Gray. This one is truly a revelation and opened my eyes on so many levels. I strongly recommend these to anyone who wants to work on themselves and/or quit drinking.
I notice that I’m in such a good mood lately. Everything seems okay. No stressing, no dramatizing. I’m just more peaceful without the alcohol in my system.
