Had my first aa meeting tonight,alot of stress about what i was going into now gone and things i thought were seprate issues from my drinking suddenly dropped into place!

Thankyou. Considering i dont like people i felt ok. Alot of what they said makes perfect sence and having this week off to make a plan of regular meetings from next monday!

Good that you had a positive experience. If possible, try different meetings. Find your home group. Last week I missed 4 meetings due to a car accident. I was begining to take my sobriety for granted, started liking the isolation, which is when I drank the most, way back when. Today I got myself to a meeting and enjoyed the sharing & fellowship.

My first meeting too. I’m drinking right now and disgusted with myself. I’m stopping after this drink.
