2 Years Clean today!

Hi All,

Hope you are keeping well and remaining on the righteous path! Happy to announce I am 2 years clean today from Alcohol & Cocaine.

I am extremely proud of the changes I have made during my recovery and would love to inspire someone else to take the pledge and change their life.

I would like to ask the community how they celebrate their milestones? How do you remain focused on recovery when the return on investment inevitably diminishes?

Way to go Jack! 2 years is a huge accomplishment… keep going strong :muscle:

I am 10 + months in and so far have celebrated milestones with dinner, a movie, museum, arboretum, jewelry and new cloths. Plan on doing day, weekend trips and vacations as celebrations in the future.

How will you celebrate your 2 years?

For me i am focusing on getting healthy and living a pain free lifestyle. I know i am still fairly young and have time to change things and this is my motivation. I do not want to put any poison (smoke or drink) into my body. I don’t think the return ever really diminishes (but then i’m still new to the sober journey). I would like to think that living a life with a clear mind and actually remembering all my experiences is forever rewarding.

Thank you for sharing your amazing milestone with us - keep stacking on the days!

Congratulations with the 2 years milestone! That’s huge! :facepunch: :confetti_ball:

I celebrated my milestones with jewelry and tattoos mostly. I keep myself focussed by coming here almost every day. Sober for more then 5 years now.

I don’t think the ROI ever totally diminishes. On days like these when I am slightly down then I thank God that I am still sober. Gratitude.

Congratulations on the first two years! I’m one day ahead of you as I got to mark two years on Sunday

I see the “big returns” continuing as I continue to work on myself, active in the “recovery” along with sobriety.

I’m focusing on becoming the person I really want to be, kind, patient, wise, able to love well.

A lot of my drinking was self medicating because I did not like myself because I was not very kind, patient, wise, and able to love well. With a clear mind and a focus on these things, I see growth every day.

I’ve heard it said, sobriety is easy but recovery is the real work.

Lots of rewards are still coming in small and beautiful ways.

I wish you peace!

Very wise Words LAB! Congrats on 2 years!!!

Congratulations :tada::clap:. For my years, I have bought AA chips. Living abroad, I can’t get them from a meeting, so I get meaningful ones from a website.

Also, although I find not drinking pretty natural these days, working on my character defects is still very much a work in progress! I am still working hard to get some return on being happier, more peaceful, etc.

Congratulations on your two years. Today is mine. I don’t go to meetings either, but give myself a chip each year🙂 a self love thing.

Spent the day with my husband. Thankful for a restored marriage. Had a wonderful dinner. Just enjoyed my day being able to remember my day😃 I am so healthy and happy now😁
