Yesterday was 2 years sober for me. The first year was really tough honestly and I didn’t think I’d make it many times. This past year had it’s challenges too, but it was much easier because it felt more manageable. A lot of therapy, a lot of AA time and commitment, and a lot of prayer. Somewhere in the past year though I realized that being sober felt natural now. I still continue to do the work and do my best to help another alcoholic and people in general. I still fail, but I get back up and bounce back quicker. I’ve found that this sober life is much better than the darkness I lived in before.
