It was a beautiful day, great walk. Cat came for a cuddle, of course. :heart_eyes_cat:

Today’s after meeting hike at Malibu Bluffs.
Going down first a bit steep.

I wonder what’s down here?

I think this pirate is lost  He’s just out here by himself

And back up :weary:

Pepperdine University with all the 911 memorial flags.

I love a hike on a windy beach but today was extraordinarily wet and windy. A bit more than I bargained for. The wind was all in my back but my rain gear couldn’t keep up with the incessant rain and sand storm blowing and lashing out. My back pack did well with its rain cover and my torso stayed relatively dry, but from my bellybutton down I was totally soaked after a couple of hours. I had planned on something like 25km, but 17.5 was more than enough today. Happy i’m home and showered now. My rain gear will need some time to recover as I do myself.

Weather changed. Lovely autumn day today. Hiked from Utrecht and therapy to Breukelen (Brooklyn) Station. Biggest part was area I’m not familiar with. Not really nature but ‘landelijk’ to use a Dutch word. It was nice.

I see a cap, but you need a hat :blush:

I take my time for that sort of things. The hat will come. Not for 28 km hikes though I think

I have multiple hat’s to choose from to wear when hiking. The one I use the most is my rain hat because I hate to wear a hood.
And take your time :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Very impressive hike that, Menno. Need to get out myself, I’m in some self sabotage funk at the moment. A good long walk always does the world of good.

Do! I’ve got mine from Decathlon. Just a simple black one with a cord.
What I like about a had instead of a hood when it rains is you can easily watch left ore right. When I do so when wearing my hood I see the inside of it

Here’s hoping your poncho kept you dry my friend. At least you’re sure to have a dry set of clothing at the end of the day :hugs:

In the meanwhile here’s a couple of pics from my own hike yesterday.

You always take great pictures :+1:

My poncho was leaking from somewhere and my T-shirt was soaking but I’m finished for the day and now I’m going to take advantage of the jacuzzi and sauna in the hotel

Some more pictures from today

So nice @Conor80 ! I was going to ask you a few days ago when you were going to get started! Happy for you and happy to follow you on your journey!!
I don’t do that kind of walking, but I do use ponchos when I need to. It covers me up and my purse and all that stuff. It works for me.

@Mno Beautiful pics and you look healthy and content. Nice shirt :people_hugging::heart:
