That is your opinion. I always thought that in a way it gave me control and power over my own life. I realize that maybe it has some control over me. But i am not powerless. Ive been powerless my whole life be it in my relationships, family, or even âfriendsâ. I have a weird feeling when someone says âyou are nothing. You have nothing and you dont own nothing.â so when you say im powerless or someone is powerless to something it makes me upset inside. I dont really express outwardly my feelings. Youre right people who dont need anything to get them through the day are super human and powerful, at least to me. I have always envied them and their genuine smiles and laughter. I am weak. I can be angry and pathetic and mean and sad but step one was admitting theres a problem. I acknowledge that.

No one said you are powerless. I think you are missing the point. And it is not my opinion but the opinion of 100s of thousands of sober alcoholics.
Get âupsetâ all you want, anger and resentment are the fastest way back to the bottle.
I wish you the best. If you want hit a meeting. If not, keep on keeping on! Your life will get so much better.

I feel cranky and annoyed today. Not because of any responses. Moreso because I have to work. I work as a bartender, under the table type work until i can find a job. I have a growing headache and im just grumpy.
