I have some exciting news to share. First and foremost I will be 22 months sober this month after 13 years as an alcoholic.
Also since getting sober I have started doing stand up comedy again after quitting years ago due to my alcoholism. I am happy to say I am starting to get more opportunities now and wanted to share a video of a recent set I had, but I was informed doing so will be viewed as self promotion. This platform has provided me with a great source of inspiration and I have had the joy and privilege to be told I have been a source of inspiration as well. That’s what I think the sobriety community is all about, inspiring and encouraging each other and the more success I gain the more I hope to use it to help others who have similar backgrounds as me because I know how hopeless things may seem at times. So thank you to all who paved the way with their refusal to give up. You laid the foundation on which I was able to rebuild my life through your hard work and inspiration.

Wow thats awesome! I haven’t seen his stuff but I’ll check it out! Listening to Ian Fidance crazy life before he finally got sober is very funny and actually pretty inspiring to see how far he’s come.
It just requires a lot of mental strength to deal with all the rejection and awkward situations and embarrassment you have to go through when first starting out, but to be honest I have embarrassed myself much worse as an alcoholic than I think I ever will on stage so it doesn’t really affect me to much haha. David Arnold is hilarious! I just checked his stuff out on YouTube definitely gonna check out his netflix special later. Thank you for the recommendation! I’ll be honest there are a lot of successful comedians now days that are in their positions because of popularity with out really being funny, but this dude is funny!
