6/14/24 is my newest clean date, I went to treatment on 7/01/24 and got out on 7/31/24.
I’m just checking in.
I live in a small town, I really enjoyed the structure and the atmosphere in treatment.
I miss it, but I missed my kids too.
This has been a tough transition.
But I can do this
I didn’t go to inpatient treatment, but I did find I had to have structure. Planning my day in the morning helped a lot, especially filling in the gap between work and sleep when I would normally use. I filled that time with healthy meals, exercise, time with my daughter and meetings. Meetings were a must for me daily, whether in person or virtual.
If you want structure put meetings at the heart of it and build your framework around it. Meetings are a god send and a must for continued and enjoyable sobriety. Sobriety is to be enjoyed not endured, if you’re not enjoying it there’s something wrong, which you need to fix PDQ.
