I’m on my 3rd week sober. I can hardly get out of bed. I don’t want to do anything. Even boil the kettle is too hard. I walked to the shops with my son but now I just want to go to my room and stay there. Please tell me this is normal and will pass.
I suppose everyone goes through different phases. I can relate to having a very low mood. I find it does get better. The amount of time will vary. 3 weeks is a great achievement and you should be proud of that. Just take it one day at a time. Maybe go see the doctor and explain to them how you are etc.
I agree with Danny. You’re showing some signs of clinical depression, so a visit to the doctor might be in order.
This could well be a symptom of PAWS as well. Your system has to get used to having no alcohol put into it. his might take a while for a new equilibrium to be found, depending on lots of factors. It does take time but it does end as well. Be absolutely sure you are doing the right thing. Recovery is work but it’s work of love.
Ive never heard of that. Thank you for the link. I have almost all of the symptoms. How the hell did I let things go so far.
It’s normal…. life gets lifey sometimes, and your nervous system can take a battering when you get sober. you’ve probably exhausted yourself and your body and mind need a break .just do what you can for this day ,try and get an early night and tomorrow might be completely different it’s all a yo-yo right now mate hang in there
