Keep the recovery up I encourage all, the health risks of relapse aren’t worth the high
Absolutely
Welcome to Talking Sober!
So true! I relapsed a little over a month ago and felt ‘good’ for an hour tops and then felt nothing but shame and thirst
You shouldn’t feel shame unless you give up on sobriety. Cause relapses are going to happen unless you make a choice to not use. I remember about 4 years I went to a court ordered rehab and listened to there speech about getting clean and the statistics about how many people were there would relapse the first year. And thought “oh my God that’s depressing how am I supposed to heal with depressing stuff like this”
Staying sober is a constant battle, you either choose to relapse or continue the fight. But eventually you end up getting better!
