So true! I relapsed a little over a month ago and felt ‘good’ for an hour tops and then felt nothing but shame and thirst

You shouldn’t feel shame unless you give up on sobriety. Cause relapses are going to happen unless you make a choice to not use. I remember about 4 years I went to a court ordered rehab and listened to there speech about getting clean and the statistics about how many people were there would relapse the first year. And thought “oh my God that’s depressing how am I supposed to heal with depressing stuff like this”

Staying sober is a constant battle, you either choose to relapse or continue the fight. But eventually you end up getting better!
