Today I finally had the courage to speak in AA, another woman was the first to speak and she broke down crying about her struggles, her vulnerability gave me the courage to also be vulnerable. At the end of the meeting I told her that her speaking gave me the confidence to also speak and then I hugged her. It was truly a beautiful moment and I felt so connected to someone for the first time in a long time.

That’s so awesome! I remember my first time speaking at an AA meeting like it was yesterday. It was so liberating to get stuff off of my chest. Good job on speaking up! You rock!
