4 months in recovery and still feel tired

Hi

So I’ve stopped drinking after 3 years or so for about 4 months. But I still feel tired all day. I had my blood work checked out but everything is fine.

Besides being tired, I also experience brainfog. This is affecting my work and daily life.

Does anyone know how long it will take to start feeling more energy?

Thanks

It took months for me as well, I was so tired sleeping all the time. I can’t remember the exact amount of time but I know it was months and months, maybe over 6 months.

Be careful to recognise if it is depression you are dealing with. This can also manifest as lethargy. If you suspect it could be depression talk to a doctor about treatment options, this can help raise your energy.

Go to bed early and drink plenty of water, eat healthy food and take small amounts of exercise, the energy will build up slowly

Hi, thank you for your concern, but I’m not depressed. I’m just tired, I love my life and I exercise and eat very healthy, drink enough water (between 2L and 3L).

I’ll just wait, maybe it just needs time.

I get tired when my vit D level is too low. Maybe check your bloodwork and vit levels.

Hi

As said in my original post: blood work has been checked and this was ok.

How many calories roughly in a day?

Alcohol contains carbs.. alcohol is gone from your life.

Carbs give you energy

Hi

Around 2000, I exercise moderately and I’m doing a job where I sit a lot.
